Anthony Bourdain has never been one to hold back his language regarding other chefs and food personalities. He is always the first to call someone out on doing things incorrectly or doing them just for show when good, honest food isn’t involved. So, when Refinery29 recently asked Bourdain which big-name food star he think actually gets it right when it comes to food, we had to find out.

To no one’s surprise, Anthony Bourdain thinks highly of the one and only Ina Garten.

Yes, he’s made fun of her in the past in regards to her outspoken willingness to do everything based on what her husband likes, but he praises her for her solid cooking techniques and method of teaching. It’s rare when you can follow along with a TV personality and make the exact dish you saw on television.

“I’ll make a little fun of her now and then, it’s very perfect in Ina World, scarily so,” he said, but “what she cooks on TV is legit and instructive. If you do as Ina does, chances are you are going to get a good product…I got real respect for her.” — Anthony Bourdain via Refinery29

Isn’t that sweet? He’s been quoted in several different publications as of late talking about his respect for her work and her cooking. So for those of you who bow down to Queen Ina, you’re on the right path.
