Best Buds Jennifer Garner and Ina Garten Grab Burgers

Jennifer Garner and Ina Garten have once again proved that they have the sweetest, most pure friendship on earth at the moment. These queens of the kitchen ditched their fancy digs and headed to a place we can all agree offers culinary wonders: In-N-Out Burger.

Ina is just coming off a smashing Thanksgiving special, on which Garner appeared to make her family’s sweet potato pudding (she also made a turkey out of construction paper). Garner has her own “pretend” cooking show on her Instagram, which she hosts all by herself, with the help of an assistant, but her guest spot on Barefoot Contessa proved that she is honestly deserving of a very real cooking show of her own.

Ina wrapped up her multi-city book in Costa Mesa, California this week and of course Garner stepped out to do what any good friend would do: She stopped by to support her, and then took her out for a celebratory meal afterward. Stars are just like us! They mark the big occasions in their lives by eating a greasy burger.

A fan took to the comments section of the post to ask whether or not the pair ordered their burgers animal-style, to which Ina replied “Of course!! So did Julia Child!,” according to People magazine. And you know once something has the Julia Child seal of approval, it must be good. Apparently, In-N-Out is the only fast food Ina will even consider eating.

I still have some lingering questions though: Did they share an order of cheese fries? Did they drink soda or milkshakes? We deserve to know, if only to replicate their order at every In-N-Out visit from here on out.

We may never know exactly what the duo ate that night but what we do know is that this is a friendship worth admiring: The pair first met three years ago, and since then Ina has called Garner “adorable and smart,” and “very special.” Could they be any cuter? Probably not, but we’ll be watching Ina’s Instagram account just in case they decide to outdo themselves.
