Did you know you could take half the labor out of mashed potatoes by using the slow cooker? Well you can and here's how to do it.
Peel and chop the potatoes.
Lightly grease the slow cooker insert with butter or cooking spray.
Transfer potatoes to slow cooker and add garlic, salt, pepper, and milk. Stir to mix and cook for 4-5 hours on high.
Melt butter in pot and stir in milk. Warm gently.
Mash the potatoes and stir in the dairy mixture. Mix until creamy.
Season with salt or pepper. Garnish as desired.
