Tiramisu’s flavors (espresso, chocolate, mascarpone) play so well with rich and creamy cheesecake that it can only be said they were made for each other. Here's how to make tiramisu cheesecake.
Make the cheesecake filling by beating together powdered sugar, espresso powder, salt, mascarpone cheese, cream cheese, heavy cream, coffee-flavored liqueur, and vanilla extract.
Mix together ladyfinger crumbs, melted butter, cocoa powder, and espresso powder. Press the mixture into a springform pan to create a crust.
Spread half of the filling into an even layer on top of the crust. Layer in the ladyfingers.
Create a coffee mixture with espresso powder and coffee-flavored liqueur. Dip ladyfingers into coffee mixture.
Spread the remaining filling on top of the ladyfingers. Refrigerate at least 6 hours or up to overnight.
When ready to serve, generously dust the top of the cake with a thick layer of Dutch process cocoa powder.
