What better way to kick off a Super Bowl party than with an assortment of football-shaped foods? (Foodballs?) Even if you’re only watching the game for the commercials, you can show off some sort of team spirit with plenty of pigskin-inspired hors d’oeuvres.

Whether you lean towards cheesy, savory dips, or decadent sweets, these on-theme bites are guaranteed crowd-pleasers. From whoopie pies to deviled eggs, here are 10 of our favorite foods that look like footballs.

1. Football Pizza Pockets from Billy Parisi

These hand pies are even better than pizza slices when it comes to walking around during a Super Bowl party. Bonus: The recipe uses pre-made pie dough, so you can throw these cheesy snacks together in practically the same amount of time takes to order take-out.

2. Football Dip Bowl from Dessert Now Dinner Later

Dips are one of our favorite ways to serve a crowd — mostly because they’re quick to put together and always tasty — and by using a bread bowl to make a football shape, this one is festive enough for the big game.

3. Football Deviled Eggs from Everyday Good Thinking

Deviled eggs are a classic hors d’oeuvre, and it’s so easy to transform them into a sporty game-day snack. How? Kristel Poole of Everyday Good Thinking used chives to mimic the laces of a football, and served the eggs on a field of chopped kale.

4. Jalapeño Cheddar Cornbread Footballs from Hungry Happenings

This recipe uses cornbread mix, but you can definitely use your favorite homemade recipe. Beth from Hungry Happenings added jalapeños and cheddar cheese into the mix, which is definitely an upgrade we don’t want to pass on.

5. Jalapeño Popper Football Cheese Ball from Peas and Crayons

This cheese ball is the answer to all your game-day dilemmas. All you have to do is cook the bacon and mix a bunch of ingredients together, which means you have more time to cheer for your team (or whatever it is you do during the Super Bowl). This creamy, spicy spread tastes delicious on anything, but we love it with buttery crackers and crunchy veggies.

6. Football-Shaped Sandwiches from Pocket Change Gourmet

Use a football cookie cutter to turn your favorite sandwiches into totally game-day-ready party snacks. You can make any type of sandwich you want, but we love the idea of using pumpernickel bread because it’s dark brown and more football-like, and the mayonnaise “lacing” pops out a little more. Don’t have a football cookie cutter? This blogger just reshaped a round one!

7. Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese from Whitney Bond

This riff on jalapeño poppers still packs plenty of spicy, cheesy flavor. Use cookie cutters to make two-bite sandwiches that everyone will go crazy for.

8. Frosted Football Brownies from Celebrating Sweets

These ultra-chocolaty brownies are more football-friendly than you’d think. Trust us — your friends and family are going to want something sweet after all those wings and beer!

9. Chocolate Peanut Butter Footballs from She Wears Many Hats

Peanut butter fanatics will certainly cheer for these chocolate candies. They’re a snap to make, too: Just use your hands to mold the peanut butter bites into football shapes, dip them in chocolate, and then pipe white icing to look like lacing.

10. Football Whoopie Pies from Confessions of a Confectionista

We love the Confectionista‘s shortcut to use boxed chocolate cake mix for these cute whoopie pies. So smart! We also love her marshmallow buttercream for both the filling and the lacing.
